Naruto-Kun now has it's own official IRC channel. This will give our members the opportunity to chat and talk freely with eachother in real-time. We recommend that everyone uses the same username on the channel as their Naruto-Kun account, this way we can all tell who everybody is.
IRC is short for Internet Relay Chat, which is one of the most popular and interactive services on the internet. They are kind of like MSN, AOL, or Yahoo chatrooms. Except they are publicly-based. Basically, the user (which would be you) runs a program called a 'client' to connect to a server on one of the IRC networks, and a chat channel within the server. The recommended IRC client is mIRC.
You'll need to know the following information in order to connect to the channel:
Server: irc.rizon.net
Channel: #N-K
Link: If you already have an IRC client installed, just click HERE to connect to the channel. Though if you don't have a client, you could click HERE to join the channel on the web without having to download anything.

1. Go to http://www.mirc.com/get.html and download the latest version of mIRC. The download location doesn't really matter very much since all the files are same. But you should still try to download it from the nearest location to you.
2. Install the application.
3. When you run mIRC for the first time, it will ask you for your full name, e-mail address, your nickname and alternative. Fill in all of these things. Please try to use your Naruto-Kun username for your nick so that everyone can tell who you are.
4. Once you are done filling in the above information, you will now select a server. Our channel (#N-K) is located on the Rizon server. So from the options menu select "servers", and hit "Add". Fill in the following data, and hit the ok-button. Description: Rizon - IRC Server: irc.rizon.net - Port(s): 6667. (Or, as an alternative you can always just use the command "/Server irc.rizon.net", typing that will just directly connect you to the server.)
5. In the dropbox called "IRC Server" you will now see Rizon as the selected server. Select it and click "connect to server".
6. Now you should be connected to the server, but you are not connected to the channel yet. Go to the very bottom and type /join #N-K in the text input area exactly as you see it here.
7. If you did everything correctly, you should now be connected to the Naruto-Kun IRC channel.
There are a few basic IRC commands that you will need to know.
/server irc.rizon.net or /s irc.rizon.net
Change server or open up a new connection to irc.rizon.net
/join #N-K or /j #N-K
You join the channel #N-K.
/nick newnick
Changes your nick to "newnick".
/help
Try this if you need help information.
/quit goodbye!
You quit IRC completely, letting everyone know that you are leaving with the parting comment so that others can see "yournick (goodbye!)".
The channel has a few main rules that you should know before you start chatting.
1. You should try to refrain from typing in all caps, "LIKE THIS". It is considered 'yelling' and excessively doing so may get you kicked from the channel. So try to avoid it.
2. Do not repeat yourself several times or 'Flood' the chat with many lines of text in a row.
3. Do not insult ('Flame') other users in the channel.
Excessively violating these rules may get you kicked out of the channel, or even banned from ever coming back. In addition, you should follow the command of the channel operators, please do not antagonize them or in any way try to frustrate them, doing so may also earn you a kick/ban.
If for any reason you can not install an IRC client, you could always use this Web-Based client to join the chatroom from anywhere using just your internet browser. You don't need to download anything and it has almost all of the features that an actual client would have.
